A westcoast home with a full basement lower floor opens onto a landscaped sunken garden. Home was designed around mature trees and collects rainwater into a 12,000 gallon cistern located under the on-grade access garage. The rainwater is then gravity fed to irrigate a sunken garden and is aerated via a cascading water feature terrace defining the garden. A 20 kW solar panel array is installed on the house's and garage's south and west facing roofs.
